Puzzles
Colin wanted to surprise his girlfriend. She had no clue what he was up to. We worked it all out through emails back a forth.
We decided on a catered dinner just for two in the Intimate Tea Room. But first when they arrived I had found a blank puzzle at a teachers supply store and wrote on the first puzzle
"Will you join me for dinner?"
This was waiting for her in their room
She put it together with a giggle and they came down to dinner where she found yet another puzzle on her plate with a huge chocolate kiss and a basket of kisses. Of course there was another puzzle that said,
"Will you kiss me?"
After dinner was finished, I served her yet another puzzle. It was in a pretty heart box. The puzzle said,
"Will you join me in the Parlor for desert?"
I had put their desert in the parlor ahead of time with, what else, another puzzle in a jeweled box. I am sure you can guess by now what it said!
"Will you marry me?"
Each puzzle was accompanied with a rose. The final puzzle had two dozen roses waiting for her!
Tears of joy and a moment to always remember!
Yet another Surprise
Adam was a man of extreme attention to detail. We emailed for weeks planning his proposal.
We decided to tell Andrea that they were going out for dinner but first they were going to stop by here to get a manicure and pedicure. Roses were waiting on the table for her to enjoy while she was receiving that special touch.
I then offered to give them a tour of the Inn. What she did not know was that while she was experiencing her pampering, I was setting up dinner in their room. We went from room to room and then I said, "I suppose I could show you this room. The guests are not in the room yet. I have it set up for some really special people. He just loves her so much." Of course I was talking about her. The went into the room and I closed the door.
"Do you think they will notice if I take a bite?" she said to her boyfriend. They then came out of the room.
"What are you doing?" I asked. Her look was so surprised when I told her the dinner was for her. Adam had the ring in a lovely glass oyster holder nestled in the middle of roses.
After dinner they came downstairs for desert. I then wisked upstairs and filled the tub and floated candles in holders on the water.
"Is there anything else I can do for you?" I asked. This was the cute that the water was ready. Adam said, "I think I forgot something in the room. Come on up. She had no idea they were going to stay.
The next morning I said, "Anymore surprises up your sleeve?"
"Nope."
Little did she know that he had a limo waiting outside to take them to an engagement party. Yet another surprise!
Field of Daisies
Michael and Donna were regulars here at the Yellow Turtle Inn. She had been bugging him about asking her to marry him.
I asked her, "If you could choose, how would you like to be proposed to?"
"In a field of daisies!"
Well, when Michael called and said he was going to propose to Donna, finally!, I was ready.
I filled the parlor with daisies. Michael set up the video camera. The pillow was on the floor for him to get down on his knees. I closed the door.
They got ready to go out to dinner. I said "Enjoy, and when you return I will have set up somethings in the middle parlor and could they not go in. It was for some really special people.
Donna looked at me with such seriousness and promised that they would respect the special couple's privacy.
On their return from dinner, Michael said, "Let's sneak a peak!"
"NO! She said we weren't supposed to go in there!"
"Oh! Come on!"
Michael cracked the door. The candles were all lit and daisies were in every possible place. She still did not get it.
He got her to sit down on the couch and he on his knee. It finally dawned on her that she was that special person.

Gazebo
Theresa and Robert0 arrived for a catered dinner. Everything was so lovely. Warm summer day. She did not know she was going to spend the night.
"It is such a nice day, would you like to have your desert out in the Gazebo?
"Oh my! That would be lovely"
Robert and I had it all planned. He brought their favorite song on a CD. I had the player all preset and ready to go. The ring was under glass on a cake stand. Roses were on the table with a pillow.
When the moment was right, I pushed the button and the music played.
I could tell she had tears in her eyes. Tears of joy.
